Terminator Salvation Slash Manip

Art: Manip
Fandom: Terminator Salvation
Pairing: Kyle/Marcus
Rating: PG-12
Warnings: none

So, here's the manip to the motif of the drawing I posted yesterday. I am quite surprised how different they are, even though they're exactly the same pose, the same faces, the same expressions... A proof how the medium used for art can influence the result. Intresting, me thinks... Any opinions? Which one do you like better, drawing or manip? Or do you think they're not comparable, with the different art from and stuff? Let me know, please!

They're both marvelous, and each draws me in its own way. The drawing gives us more easily seen details, while the manip lets us see those details in glorious color.

PS I was able to watch TS last night. Sam Worthington has been busy, hasn't he? I enjoyed it to a degree, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to watch it again. Kind of like T2.

Thanks, hon! So you agree they're quite different, each has its pros and cons, I think. I worked long for the colour to be just as I wanted it to be, it's one of the most important features of a manip. Nothing is worse than a manip where the colour of the different parts is off, destroys every composition. Well, lighting that's off, that's also horrible (happens when people either don't know how to adapt lighting or don't care to do it. I know it's a lot boring of work, but still, it has to be done!).

@ TS: I certainly won't say it's the best film ever (I grew up with the first two), but I just love the chemistry between Sam Worthington and Anton Yelchin. It's amazingly obvious, they're immediate bond, and such raw emotions, all stuff I had most certainly not expected when I first saw the movie. I'm more a fan of the pairing than the movie, I think. And I don't like Christian Bale in the film, even though I usually do like him...

Oh, and for the story by hollycomb, I've read all of her stuff and I love it. Now I'm trying to get her to write more for the pairing by spamming her with my manips XD. I actually had read "No fate" already... But thanks anyway!

I think I like the drawing one better, although I do like the deep, rich color in this one.

Well, I hope I made it a difficult decision XD I'm completely untalented for drawings/paintings in colour, though, so all my drawings are always b/w, mostly pencil, carbon and black pen. I keep the colour for my manips...

This may be one of my all time faves of yours! It puts me in mind of a beauty and the beast theme, although I was just listening to Nightwish's 'Beauty of the Beast' so that may be why. Beautiful. I love the choice of colour as well, it's got quite an industrial look to it which is, of course, perfect. Bravo!

*grins* yep, I know that song. Might be the reason for your association, but there is really something about the manip that fits the theme, so... I wasn't certain about the colours at first, changed them a lot, but I'm glad you seem to agree that my final decision was the right one ^_^

Oh, I've got new music for you: try "Stream of Passion". They're a band from the Netherlands and they're really amazing, I think you'll like their music. If you go on filestube, you'll be able to get their albums as a download, I think.

Just wanted to say this is awesome. :) Noticed your Kyle/Marcus icon over at [livejournal.com profile] smallfandomfest and had to come and see if it was from a manip you did. So thanks for sharing. This fandom needs more love. :)

Thank you! I hope you liked the Kyle/Marcus stuff I've done so far. I never guessed my icon would actually get anybody to come and look for more on my Lj, but I'm glad it did ^_^

I just saw that you claimed the prompt "They still see him as a machine and they always will" on Kyle/Marcus! You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to your story - I'm totally in love with Kyle/Marcus, and you're right, the fandom needs *a lot* more love... Btw, do you know [livejournal.com profile] kylemarcus ? Might be an interesting place for you if you love the pairing.

Well, I didn't recall a scene like that from the movie and was like hmm, I wonder if there's a bigger version. ;)

And yeah, I really shouldn't have signed up for it since I have two big bangs I need to finish, but the plot bunnies aren't going to settle until I write something. My idea's wavering between kind of dark and super dark, so will have to see what happens. And yep, found it. :) I pretty much devoured the entire fandom the same day I saw the movie. ;)
