Wahahahaha *crazy laughter* I did it! I slashed Tarabas and Romualdo! Wow, I mean, I was like ten years old when I first thought that they were the perfect couple and I didn't even *know* the meaning of slash, fanfic, photoshop or even computers at that time (yip, was quite a while ago XD) and still, I remember that I loved those two... Do you know the Fantaghirò films, btw? Is not so well known outside of Europe, I think. Was some Italian-German production of fairytale like stories about a tomboy princess (I don't really care for her, though) and her prince (hot Romualdo) and later the amazingly sexy evil wizard Tarabas. The films are very very very cheesy (they're for children, after all), but who cares when you have such great eye candy all the time. That wizard is sex on legs, believe me. He walked around half naked more than once in those films (I mean, I was a *child* when I saw the films and I still though he was hot XD) and believe me, he's a god... and those incredible eyes - I tell you, Tarabas had known how sexy men with kohl around their eyes are long before Jack Sparrow was even born! Sorry, I'm rambling... ^_^V
Oh, and if you want to know what and who I'm talking about, watch this hot vid of the two boys:

You have MAD photomanipping skills! I think such skills are pure magic - and on top of that you are a WONDERFUL writer! (I forgot to add that I was so happy about the way you transport the reader into Middle Earth by avoiding contemporary sayings and slang and such..)
LOL - the curse of the creative muses under times of stress is one I know well. But in truth, it is an escape mechanism and a healthy way to deal with stress as long as it doesn't get you into trouble with your RL obligations!
Best wishes on your research!

Date: 2010-04-23 08:28 pm (UTC)You know that you actually made me blush when I first read this comment? I'm not used to so much praise, and coming from you, I know it means something. Thank you so much, you just made my day - after 13 hours of working I really needed that! Manipping is not that difficult, to be honest (but I'm still far from perfect, got a lot more to learn ^^). It's a lot like puzzles, the most important thing is to find the right pieces (remember the dubious websites I mentioned XD) and the rest is not much different from traditional artwork. Patience is the keyword. And a graphic tablett.
As for the writing, I can't help it, there are just so many stories in my head that need to get out and they find their release in fanfic and original stuff. The language just comes to me, I don't really think about the way to phrase something, I just write it and read over it afterwards (and I have a great beta reader XD). And the contemporary language has also annoyed me in many fics, I think it just doesn't fit the setting of the Lotr. Adapting to their way to speak it crucial for the feeling ot the stories, at least in my opinion.
Btw, my muse decided that, if I can't leave my research, she can just give me slash ideas based on the research! What kind of mean muse is that? Now I see those two Scottish nobles in my head all the time - and originally, there were arch-enemies and tried (and succeded) to kill each other.
