They're a really awesome pairing with two equally strong characters, that's what fascinates me. And if I can make you consider the pairing (and motivate you for some research - believe me, Karl Urban is just HOT in that outfit), then I've done something right! XD You will like them, believe me. I can give you some recs for good stories, if you want to have a go at Riddick/Vaako ^___^
Oh, and I promise, I will finally sit down and correct the rest of IAL, I've got the beta back, I just haven't edited yet... shame on me, especially when I know you're reading it and you probably want to get the corrected version at some point... ^_^ I feel so honoured you like the stories so much, you know that? Was really a lot I did in that last month... ^_^V And well, "general hotness" helps a lot, when I'm creating the manip and I think "they're just so incredibly hot", then I'm very very motivated to make more. It's all about fantasy and imagination, really - kind of 'visualized fantasy'... XD Hope you like the rest, too!
PS: Do you actually plan to post something in your Lj? Some of your (btw fantastic) stories? I'd go and comment! ^_^

Give me two weeks! :D And let me fend off the muse, I’m working on mass effect, star wars and sanctuary fanfics all at the same time while studying. Timing. Have you seen sanctuary? The season one finale was pretty much written for slash fanfic writers. When you have a moment, can I send back that Garrus/Shep fic for a second checkover? Tenses and all that... ;) Ugh, long rambling comment, my bad!

Date: 2010-06-11 12:44 am (UTC)Actually, I'd like to keep my muse... it hasn't been this cooperative in ages! It just means my life is revision, work and writing... Hmm, I'm okay with that! Sanctuary is a TV series and that first season finale had SO much subtext slashyness and chemistry, even if the writers didn't intend it, it just begged for slash fanfic. I'm developing three or four pairings and one is...odd. Odder than Garrus/Shep if you get my meaning. :D

Date: 2010-06-09 02:58 pm (UTC)Hm, I agree with you that a pic does *not* have to be NC-17 to be hot, I think the body language and facial expressions can convey far more erotic atmosphere than actually *showing* anything in all detail (action or body). I prefer to have emotions come across, so you will *never* find a manip of mine where genetalia will be visible - that's the fine line to pornography for me that I certainly do not wish to cross. And I don't think it'll add anything to the feeling and atmosphere of a manip, so why should I depict it? I prefer to have the viewer use their imagination - that's what make a picture hot.

I don't read the porn stuff either, but I think there is a difference between porn and really well written sex scenes in a plot loaded story. If the sex is just written for the pleasure of it (like in PWPs for example), then I generally don't like it that much. But if it's the scene you've been waiting for for the last twenty pages and it's a perfect part of the plot, than I enjoy it very much. Oh, and me too, I love the fluff, the romance and a nice wee bit of h/c.... XD (Well then, at least you'll like the Éomer/Haldir story, because that's what it's made of! XD)

I made it myself out of several pieces after giving up the search (many hours later XD). I just wanted to make a manip where Vaako is clearly giving up his control because I agree, that's just incredibly hot. Especially because he normally is such a controlled person...
I'm so in love with your precise way of observing and finding all those tiny wee things I have so much fun putting in the manips. I think they make the atmosphere, even if people don't consciously remark it. I'd love to have more such comments (*is very subtle*) because they made me smile and feel good and give me the feeling of my work being really really appreciated. Thank you for that, hon!

I'm flattered you liked it so much on the first sigh that you wanted more ^_^ Oh, and you thought it was a painting? Wow, that's cool. I like to give my manips a kind of painting-like appearance, to make them look like something in between a photo and a painting. I didn't know it worked that well XD I can't actually paint, I'l horrible with oil, acryl and all that stuff. Give me a pen (I love drawing wih ball pen http://pics.livejournal.com/nanuk_dain/pic/0003174s) and I can draw whatever you like, give me oil and I will cause a catastrophe (and I won't upload an example for that...) XD
