And the next Eureka Slash Manip

Title: Breaking News
Fandom: Eureka
Pairing: Jack Carter/Nathan Stark
Rating: PG
Warnings: none
Comment: And here's the next manip - one of my infamous picture-in-picture manips (I seem to be as fond of them as of hands-only manips... XD). It took a bit of work, and I really hope you enjoy it!
@ [livejournal.com profile] tarlanx: What do you think, can I maybe evetually possibly perhaps inspire you to a fic with this...? ^___^ It's a good headline, isn't it? *pokes* Maybe after that Mag7 BB?

Another gorgeous, sweet piece :) Oh yes, I can easily be inspired by ALL of the ones you have posted so far! Love the expressions chosen for their faces... and love that Fargo is the one reading this :D

Glad you like it, my dear! And I would love to inspire you to some more J/N fic, because you just do it so well and it's always such a pleasure to read. I did a lot of searching and screencapping to get the expressions I wanted, because I had it all laid out in my mind long before I had manipped it. As for Fargo reading it, I just couldn't resist. I really like him and his antics ^_^

The great thing about Eureka is the range of wonderful characters. I love all of them to varying degrees.

Often I've plotted out a story or an art idea in my head long before I get to the PC. Finding what I need - research! - can be time consuming but often worth it as I have folders of images that I can use for inspiration in both art and fiction. I just wish I was more skilled at creating art. It needs practice, and time is one element that escapes me all too frequently.

I totally agree. It's not just the cases that are interesting it's the characters and their development. And of course that the general setting of Eureka leaves and endless possibility for stories, since al those crazy science things allow almost any plot twist you can imagine - reviving the death, different dimensions, different timelines etc. That's why it never gets boring - every author has a different way to go about things, and even every story can be written with a totally different premise in mind. I love that, especially when people get the science talk in and make it plausible. (btw, you're really good at that, and that makes reading so much fun ^^).

Oh, don't get me started on research... I love it (considering that I do it also for my job, I better should) and there are stories that you know what you want to write, but to get the details - or the whole premise of the plot - right, you first have to do tons of research and usually find great plot devices and ideas along the way. And nothing has been written yet, but it's all forming in your head... Yes, I know that all too well ^^

I think your art is good, it has a very destinctive style that I recognise immediately. If there's any way I can help, just ask ^^ My style might be completely different, but I'm quite decent in photoshop. As for the time element... yeah, that is probably my most frequent problem (pun intended), and I really don't know how to change that (short of becoming a hermit with internet access XD). RL has a way of taking up all your time, especially with work and family involved.

Thank you for the kind words about my stories!

The Mag7 Big Bang story that I'm currently trying to finish is one of those that keeps sidetracking me to research. It's needed research into the arrival of the Spanish and expeditions into Colorado, New Mexico circa 1500, as well as tribes in the area (the Ute), the sea journeys, making up a plausible character from that era... and when you actually get writing, those things that took HOURS to research might be summed up in a few paragraphs - or lines!

With art, I'm learning as I go along but never have enough time to simply play with ideas. Usually, I get an idea and then have to mash my way through to the best of my ability. Sometimes it comes together, other times I have to accept what comes out. I really want to learn to draw and paint. Just have to accept that there are not enough hours in the day between all those other commitments. As long as I keep improving rather than stagnating then I'm happy :)
