I need professional help...
Dec. 25th, 2012 04:41 pm... or rather, my Muse does. And that urgently. She's gone completely crazy now, and she intends to take me with her into the abyss of insanity. Problem: She's doing a damn good job... -_-V
Now, let me explain. See, innocent little me went to watch The Hobbit with my mum, because she wanted to see it and didn't want to go alone. So I said 'yes', knowing fully well why I shouldn't go watch it before all my work was done (I trust most of you are familiar with my discipline problems when my Muse strucks XD). Sooo, what happened? Right! My Muse did stike. Hard. What a surprise.
So now she's been terrorising me for the past few days. That's not unusual in itself, I'm used to that, and I can deal with it. The actual problem is the pairing she chose to inflict on me. Now breach yourselves: Thorin (hot, stubborn Dwarf) and Elrond (hot, equally stubborn Elf). I mean, really W T F ?!? Thorin and ELROND? I always liked him, yes, he's cool and sexy in a weird way, but I never considered him slash material. ESPECIALLY NOT WITH A DWARF! (Let's not mention the differences in size here, ok?) I never wanted that kind of inspiration, because it's impossible (but possible) and demands so much plot and background and character development and that means I will have to write another Lotr-monster! You might have noticed that all my Lotr-fics are monsters of at least 40.000 words. I can't deal with another writing attack like this, especially since I'm still head deep in the last one. ARGHHH! I just want my Muse to leave me alone!
... So I've already started writing. I have the general plot laid out. I admit defeat.
*le sigh*
I need help, and so does my Muse.
PS: So, has anybody else seen The Hobbit yet? Any thoughts? Did anybody else get this weird Thorin/Elrond vibe or was that just me? Any help, please? Who do you think is the most likely pairing?
