I have the same dilemma with each new manip- i can't decide which one is the best ;)

I love that you know how show all those emotion with just a few small gestures- manip doesn't need to be nc-17 to be full of love ;)

Ahhhhhhhh, I'm squeeing with joy right now! Thank you soooooo much, hon! I must admit, I think this one is one of my best manips up til now. It's my muse's fault, she's bombarding me with ideas again... ^^ I think this might be a perfect 'cover'-pic for the Unexpected series... *subtle hint* XDD

I think a high rating doesn't make a manip 'better' (as many people out there seem to think), and it may make it more sexual, but that isn't the same as portraying emotions. In my opinion, the small gestures tell so much more than any sex-scene ever could. Many people confuse love with passion, I guess...

PS: I don't actually do this stuff consciously, it's more instinct. I don't plan my manips, I just see the original pictures and I get an idea of what I want the manip to look like and the small stuff develops while I work on it. It's rather hazardous, but I'm glad I seem to get the emotions across I associate with the manips in my mind. ^^

*grins* I really don't mind maneouvering you in that dilemma XD

Hm, the last time I was so busy with looking at Kirill's gun (*lol*) that I didn't really look at Kirill's hand on Bourne's hip. Is that it?

Who is Leo? That's Matt Damon... *confused* But hey, I understand that point - I actually don't really like Matt Damon either and I entered the fandom only because of the awesomeness that is Kirill/Karl Urban. But then I realised all the potential Kirill/Jason Bourne have and my muse attacked... the rest is history, as they say (or story, in this case XD). Well, I can't really do anything about the genre, but hey, hope dies last! So I'll just hope for the 'maybe' ^_^

*all happy* Thanks so much! Those were the longest stories I've ever written in a freakingly short period of time (maybe a total of writing time of some three months for over 120.000 words...). I was obsessed at the time, I think ^^ So I'm happy to hear you like them. I should probably edit them at some point (my English wasn't exactly perfect back then), but I don't have the time with my diploma ending in June...

No, it's not you getting old. I share that opinion (then maybe I'm getting old, too? XD) Simple touches have something magical, I think, because they're nothing remarkable in themselves, but they express so much in the context. For this manip, I think the acceptance of touch (Jason accepting the hand on his hip, Kirill accepting the hand on his arm that holds the gun) means as much as doing the touching. It demonstrates a sense of belonging and trust and closeness, because everybody seeing it know they would never touch - or accept the touch of - anybody else besides each other. Maybe it's that what makes it so sexy - that in those simple touches lie so many deeper meanings, something outright sex could never have demonstrated as clearly.

Well, I thought about it, but more like a hobby. There so many people who are much more talented and know much more stuff than me, so I prefer to leave some stuff for these who know better XD I like to have fun with designing and making headers, and I'm sure if it was part of my work, I'd grow to hate it sooner or later ^^'
